Upload Files in Datastore
Step 1: Access the Datastore Section
- Log in to your VAKStudio account.
- Navigate to the Datastore section in the main navigation menu.
- You will be presented with two tabbed sections: CSV Files and Markdown Files.
Step 2: Create Folders for Your Files
- In either the CSV Files or Markdown Files tab, click on the Create Folder button.
- Enter a name for your folder and click Create.
- Multiple folders can be created under each section.
Step 3: Uploading Files to Folders
For CSV Files:
- Navigate to the CSV Files tab.
- Select the folder where you want to upload your files or create a new folder.
- Click on the Upload Files button.
- You can only select .csv files in this section.
- You can select multiple files or drag and drop your files into the drop section.
- After the upload, the files will be listed within the folder for future use.
For Markdown Files:
- Navigate to the Markdown Files tab.
- Select a folder where you want to upload your files or create a new folder.
- Click on the Upload Files button.
- Only .md files are allowed in this section.
- You can select multiple files or drag and drop your files into the drop section.
- Uploaded markdown files will be listed within the folder.
Use of Uploaded Files
The files you upload into their respective folders will later be used to create a VectorDB. These folders and files will serve as the foundation for building and managing your vector database in VAKX.
Key Points to Remember:
- Only CSV files can be uploaded in the CSV tab and folders.
- Only Markdown files can be uploaded in the Markdown tab and folders.
- Multiple files can be selected or dragged and dropped into the folder.
- These files will be essential for building a VectorDB in future steps.
